The Gloucestershire Federation of Gardening Societies

The Cotswold Group is a member of the Gloucestershire Federation of Gardening Societies, a registered charity. Membership of the GFGS enables us to share local garden news. Our Gloucester Federation of Garden Societies insurance policy also protects the Cotswold Branch of the Cottage Garden Society, and our officials and volunteers against the cost of claims made against them in the event that someone has suffered loss or injury that is judged to be the result of negligence.

We enjoy working with other local and national groups who share our interests and are happy to publicise their activities to our members.

These include:

The National Gardens Scheme (www.ngs.org.uk) which arranges online talks and virtual tours as well as an extensive programme of open gardens.

Nature in Art  (https://natureinart.org.uk) the world’s first museum and art gallery dedicated to fine, decorative and applied art inspired by nature. As well as permanent displays, it hosts temporary exhibitions and workshops with visiting artists. It can be found in Wallsworth Hall, Twigworth, Gloucester GL2 9PA.

In Gloucestershire we are fortunate to have some gardens of national importance and two splendid arboretums. They include:
